On the farm where I grew up, there was an old pussy willow tree from which my mother would pick a bouquet of fuzzy silver flowers for our table. My life was so sheltered back then and I didn't even know it. Remembering that tree is remembering childhood, and memories of childhood remind me of the sweetness of innocence. It's something I hope I never outgrow.
