I (Frances Drost) enjoy rides through the country on my motorcycle.

One day, in the middle of summer, I was contemplating my Portraits of White Christmas show, as I often do, trying to come up with some new creative ideas. This phrase popped into my head: "Santa gave up tracking who's been naughty and nice."

Later, I started writing more lyrics and took the song to Ed Kee (former conductor of the show) who helped me finish it.

Thanks to Ron Hemby (featured vocalist) for his vocal talent.

Santa gave up trackin’ who’s been naughty and nice
Bought himself a toy and paid the sticker price
He’d be a saint if it weren’t for one vice
Santa bought a Harley for Christmas

Chorus:

It’s really red
He’s really proud
He’s planning on parading through the Macy crowd
Gave up the sled for something loud
Now everyone will know when he is coming to town

Mrs. Claus is happy with her new Saint Nick
Everybody’s calling her the biker chic
Now all her friends are jealous of her new-found clique

Santa still travels in the dead of night
Riding double with a reindeer and it’s quite a sight
Rudolph’s riding backward like a red tail light
